Have
you ever been in Italy? Is eating Italian dishes included in your bucket list?
This newly opened restaurant in U.P. Town Center, Katipunan Quezon City, is
serving Italian dishes on a budget-friendly price. The interior is simple yet
perfect for the Italian vibes, and your ears will be relaxed as you listen to
the Italian songs being continuously played inside the restaurant. This awesome
restaurant is named “FRIULI TRATTORIA”, it serves pizza, pasta, other
Italian-related foods to munch on, gelato, and drinks such as coffee, frappe,
soda, and iced tea. Friuli’s first branch is located at Maginhawa Street, Teachers
Village, Quezon City.
Friuli
Trattoria has decided to put up a branch in the urban turf, U.P. Town Center.
Four (4) in the afternoon is the perfect time to go here to make sure you have
a table, according to Sir E.J. Segobia, the manager of Friuli UPTC branch. The
restaurant is always jam-packed every lunch, and dinner time. Their best
sellers are Margherita Pizza which is combined with garlic and herbs, topped
with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes, it only costs 195 pesos, and Viva Venezia
Pizza which is perfect for people who eat less carbs, it is a combination of
lean ground beef, olives, mushrooms, green bell peppers and onions which costs
225 pesos.
The
restaurant had its soft opening last May 20. 2016. Most of the people eating at
Friuli are most likely students from Miriam College, Ateneo De Manila University,
and U.P. Diliman, and the other seemed like working people, and families. Manager
Segobia shared that “Friuli Trattoria has been featured in many online articles
such as Top 10 Most Loved Restaurants in Quezon City”. Hence, “It was
also featured in some TV shows in GMA”, he added. Food bloggers and celebrities
will not miss this for the world, celebrities like Angelica Panganiban, Pauline
Luna, Ruby Rodriguez, Amelia Fuentes, and Glaiza De Castro. “TV personalities and reporters like Amy
Perez, and Howie Severino also ate here after they shoot nearby”, said by
manager EJ. The best part about Friuli is they offer a half-half; if you are
torn between 2 pizza flavours, worry no more since you are free to choose 2
flavours for a half and half and they will charge you the higher priced pizza
between your 2 picked flavours. In addition to that, vegetarians can indulge
the pizza too since Friuli also has a special menu for people who prefers to
eat healthy pizza with a pinch of pork/chicken/beef. Isn’t that great? The serving
per pizza is good for 3-5 persons, it is totally perfect for barkada hangout, and quick merienda with families.
People’s
choice is the mozzarella stick which comes with a jalapeno dip. You can devour
the sticky cheese, and every chew feels like eating a fluffy marshmallow. It
will leave an after-taste in your mouth -- the taste of “wanting for more”. Moreover,
Friuli has gelatos that you will surely drool over.
