HOTTEST FOOD PARK IN 2016
Looking for a new instagram-worthy place?
Perhaps, a budget friendly food park? Worry no more, because THE YARD is here
to the rescue! I’ve been there several times already yet I’m still coming back
for more. Can’t get enough of the foods and shakes that I see. There was one
time that I was really craving intensely for tempura, so I went to the yard and
purchased an unli tempura with rice for only 150 pesos. I lost track of my
other photos, but I was able to take a snap of some. Oh, and I even have a
picture with Ateneo Lady Eagles Player – Amy Ahomiro....
I’m
on a diet mode right now but who can say NO to budget friendly foods, right? I
tried milkshakes from “MILKSHAKE LAB” – red velvet, tiramisu, smores, and white
chocolate macademia. What I loved most about the shakes in milkshake lab is you
get to experience handling injections and actually use them to pour the
chocolate/vanilla syrup onto your shake. Milkshake lab’s best seller is Smores:
it was really devourish, and appealing as well.
Second stall that
I tried was, “BAGNETTO/BAGNETO” which obviously serves bagnet foods like sisig
with bagnet, bagnet itself, kare-kare with bagnet, and etc. I bought Kare-Kare
bagnet which costs only 140 pesos (if i am not mistaken). I will absolutely try their specialized
bagnet next time.
My friend ordered
a ramen from “BLACK PLATE”, I didn’t bother to taste nor order since I’m not
into noodles/ramen; she told me it was okay naman daw, it’s worthy of its
price. We also shared and munched on waffalo fries (good for 2-3 people, but if
you are the type of person who likes to munch on potato chips and loves buffalo
then you can have it all for yourself) (i forgot why it was called waffalo,
it’s not even a waffle lol), waffalo fries was bought at “SMOKES N’ BARREL”
beside the bagneto, and it cost us 160 pesos.
Who’s
in love with chicken skin??? *constantly raises my hand* .... I had chicken
skin for 90 pesos from “PULUTS” (conyo term for pulutan lol), it was really
crispy and the salt added up to the tastiness of chicken’s skin. Of course we
need a drink after all the food that we munched, my friend and I bought drinks
on our own from “GULP STATION”. Mine was blueberry mint, hers was green tea
apple. I can’t remember the price but it ranges from 120-150 pesos. At first, i thought it was a punch because
there are bartenders, but i guess i spoke too soon hahaha
Well, well, well.. In case you did not
notice, I go to parties but never tried drinking alcoholic drinks. Guess
what!!!! My systems not alcoholic-free anymore hahaha my friend and I sipped
onto “EPICURE”’s cocktail bucket which is called the ‘gummy bear’. It was
actually nice but we weren’t able to consume the bucket. The bucket that we
purchased only cost us 250 pesos (i forgot the size of our bucket but it was
the smallest).
I
scream for Ice cream!!! Of course my food trip would not be complete without
buying a Liquid nitrogen ice cream for only 150 pesos! It was worth it and the
flavour is none other than my one and
only favorite “cookies n cream”. Went to the yard on a Friday night so it’s
calling for a fries day! Tried building fries for 150 pesos at “FRY DAY”, it
was the BOMB!! Perfectly baked/cooked, loved the sauce that they used for the
drizzle, and I loved every parts of it.
Last but
definitely not the least is “PRAWN STARS”!!!. I wouldn’t miss the prawns with
garlic butter. Prawns cooked with garlic butter is definitely the road to
perfection. It’s only for 150 pesos. Imagine, 5 perfectly cooked prawns for
only 150 pesos!!?!! Who wouldn’t want that, right... the funny thing about
prawn star is their choice of names for their menu, while removing the prawn’s
skin; i was looking at the menu and i figured it was kind of close to porn star
hahaha and the labels of the sauce on their menu is “g spot” “hoe eggs”
“bombshell” “sexy and hottie” – which i find really funny and catchy. It’s a
witty marketing strategy.
I
think I’ve said enough. Rating the yard a 10/10 for their outstanding food,
service, ambiance, and everything. Will definitely come back here next week or
the week after next. All of my workouts meant nothing because you can never go
wrong with foods. I actually made a list on my phone of the stalls and foods
that I’ll try the next time i come back; it’s better to come prepared than to
waste your time trying to figure what food to eat. New motto in life: Food is
life!!!
